Our Town and Your Family Deserve Continued Success—Vote Democratic.
Vision entails having ideas. Success requires execution with excellence. The Democratic candidates who join First Selectman Rudy Marconi on the ballot on November 3rd have both. Rudy’s leadership, vigor and ideas led us during the past four years. The results speak volumes. Rudy and the Democratic majority on the Board of Selectman, created significant improvements to town infrastructure, acquired land for the future, supported schools, brought the new library to fruition, and helped to create a vibrant cultural life.
It is vital to our continued success to keep Rudy’s team the majority on the Board of Selectmen. Steve Zemo, a respected small builder and landlord of the highest integrity, has been a valuable member of this community for decades contributing to non-profits, the arts, “green initiatives” and our schools. Barbara Manners, known for founding CHIRP and the Holiday Trust Fund (lights and Halloween Walk), considers issues from all perspectives, and brings her legal mind and training to town matters. Rudy + these two Democrats, are the right leaders. VOTE FOR ALL THREE for BOARD OF SELECTMEN.
Don’t fix what’s not broken on the Board of Finance. If you liked the 0% tax increase in 2015, Dave Ulmer, Paul Sutherland and Jessica Mancini deserve ALL THREE of your votes for the Board of Finance. They kept taxes low, supported schools, returned CL&P’s money to town residents. School advocate and financial expert Paul Sutherland has four years on the Board of Education and four years on the Board of Finance. Jessica Mancini is a seasoned, and well-respected member of the Board, representing small business, families with children, and townspersons. Chairman Dave Ulmer is one of Jet Blue’s founders. Respected and listened to by ALL members, Republicans and Democrats, he leads the Board to sound decisions, and unanimous votes. DON’T MESS WITH SUCCESS. VOTE FOR ALL THREE.
The Board of Education has a contest—lots of seats, lots of new faces, and not enough spaces to seat all. Vote wisely to keep Karen Sulzinsky on the Board of Education as a strong, seasoned voice for good schools. She deserves a FOUR-YEAR SEAT. Fran Walton, is an American Dream story…a naturalized citizen, school/PTA leader, mother of Ridgefield students and a currently-seated member of the Board of Education. Her background is in educational finance from a London University. Elect her to a FOUR-YEAR SEAT. Doug Silver will be the only educational professional on the BOE. Vote for Silver.
As Treasurer, Molly McGeehin, will enact office hours, provide reports, and collaborate with the Board of Finance and Town Finance Director. A CPA, 11 years at Ridgefield Library in finance, her own accounting firm, volunteer treasurer at RHS impress us. Elect her Treasurer.
Phil Mische and Tim Dunphy are seeking re-election to Planning and Zoning. George Kain, is looking to return to the Police Commission. Jeff Lundberg on the Board of Assessment Appeals and Dwayne Escola on ZBA would like to return.
Democrats have vision, qualifications, experience. Re-elect Rudy and his team on November 3rd.
