Incurious, Complacent, Misinformed

That John Frey lacks sound judgment is no longer open to dispute. Two examples: Frey voted against HB5054, which requires accused domestic abusers under a court-issued temporary restraining order to surrender their firearms; and Frey served as a delegate and sergeant-at-arms for the nomination of Donald Trump.

Frey’s recent incoherent defense of his “nay” vote on HB5054 — a vague, undefined reference to “due process”, and the suggestion that domestic violence victims should just “call the police” — is a simplistic soundbite with no legal or factual basis.

Similarly, Frey’s decision to serve as sergeant-at-arms and delegate for Donald Trump, at the same time as other Republican National Committee members all across the country refused to attend (Frey was NOT obligated to attend), further demonstrates that Frey is just too incurious, complacent, and willing to blindly follow extremists. He is thus incapable of making sound judgments on the gravely important matters that come before his office.

To ensure that John Frey is unable to exercise his poor judgment in other serious matters in the future, vote on November 8 to elect Joe Dowdell as the 111th district representative to the Connecticut General Assembly.
