Undeterred by the sub-optimal weather, Ridgefield Democrats joined other Ridgefield residents in supporting our local business community at Summerfest 2015 in the village, on Saturday, July 18. First Selectman Rudy Marconi, Board of Finance members Dave Ulmer and Paul Sutherland, Board of Education members Karen Sulzinsky and Fran Walton, Planning & Zoning Commission member Tim Dunphy, and Zoning Board of Appeals member Sky Cole participated throughout the day, along with members of the Ridgefield Democratic Town Committee. Setting up bright and early in their usual booth location on Main Street in front of the Toy Chest, Democrats greeted Summerfest attendees, offered information about voting and the upcoming fall local elections, and passed out bottled water to passers by and anyone needing refreshment.
Ridgefield Democrats chose the occasion of Summerfest 2015 to publicly debut their iconic new logo in the “offline” world. Created by the talented Ridgefield graphic designer, Eve Siegel, the logo features Eve’s beautiful original artwork rendering of the Cass Gilbert fountain, with the words “Ridgefield Democrats” in bold block letter font. The DTC proudly displayed the new logo on their booth banner and lapel stickers.
